Modus Operandi

he thinks to entice me
seduce me by dancing
in dim lights
his shadow on the wall
and ceiling unveils the darkness
as I lay upon a double-threaded
cotton sheet
he slowly strips away
pieces of clothing
one by one
slowly
seductively
as if to say
in the silence
I'm here, come and get me

but I watch with curiosity
wondering what comes over him
what's his modus operandi?
I ask him if he's gearing
up for a game of strip poker
and I laugh silently to myself
in whispers, knowing full well
it wouldn't be fair to be loud
in matters of the heart, because then,
the desire would soon fade
on his part and on mine
for I have been entertained

so, now he stands
in front of me
still dancing
in his buck nakedness
unloaded
shaking what God
granted him
gold nuggets in all his glory
pecs moving up and down
muscles sinewy, strong
knowing full well
the thing that swells
eventually will have me
under his spell.

Dance

shadows dance
on midnight's ceiling
two silhouettes, two lovers yearn
more for romance
two lovers feeling
two lips, whet-kissed
passions burn.

fingers dance
along the lines
and contours of two, well-defined
arms entwine like rope and vine,
two star-crossed lovers
drunk with wine.

two lovers dance
as bodies meet
move up and down
along the sheets
sweet essence churned,
we take our turns
from lips to breast
and chest to feet.

two lovers dance
among the pillows
and the covers perfumed light
scented jasmine, scented roses
scents of love fill the night.

shadows dance
on midnight's ceiling,
two silhouettes, two passions burn
breathe more for romance
breathe more for healing
breathe more for love at every turn.

I write simply for enjoyment and if I can touch another reader's heart, the happier I'll be.  I write about things that generally affect life...rage, laughter, love, nature, passion, despair, expressing the ups and downs, the joys and what-not's of whatever comes to mind at that moment in time; that instantaneous feeling to pick up the pen and write,
whatever the mood, mode or utterance.

As owner/editor of Celebrated Thoughts, I enjoy very much, reading, posting and meeting many talented and gifted writers from around the world and back.
